ABOUT US

Specialized Testing

Specialized testing helps us look beyond standard labs to uncover the root causes behind your symptoms—like nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalances, gut dysfunction, inflammation, toxin burden, and hidden infections.

In functional medicine, these deeper insights matter because they connect the dots between how you feel and what’s happening inside your body, so we can build a plan that’s personalized to you—not a one-size-fits-all guess. Our advanced testing options are thoughtfully selected and interpreted through a functional medicine lens, giving you clear answers, targeted next steps, and a smarter path to lasting results.

Genetic & DNA Testing

GeneSight® (Medication-Response Genetic Testing)

A cheek swab test that evaluates how your genes may affect the way you metabolize and respond to certain medications—most commonly psychiatric meds (and sometimes pain/ADHD meds). Results can help your provider personalize medication selection and dosing.

Methylation / DNA Panels
Genetic testing panels that assess key variants related to areas like metabolism, methylation, inflammation, hormones, neurotransmitters, immune function, and more. Includes full interpretation, a results review, and a follow-up visit with a personalized plan based on your genetics.

Other Specialized Testing Options

Comprehensive Hormone Testing

A dried urine hormone test that evaluates key hormones and how your body metabolizes them—often including cortisol (stress response), sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), and related pathways. Used to support personalized care for symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes, mood shifts, sleep issues, cycle concerns, or perimenopause/menopause support.

Food Allergies & Sensitivities

Tests that can help identify potential food triggers contributing to symptoms like bloating, skin issues, headaches, fatigue, or inflammation—used to guide targeted elimination and reintroduction plans.

GI Testing (SIBO, SIFO, GI pathogens, parasite testing)

Breath or stool testing to evaluate gut bacteria overgrowth (SIBO), infections, parasites, and microbiome patterns that may contribute to IBS, bloating, reflux, diarrhea/constipation, or nutrient issues.

Immune / Auto-Immune Panels

Labs that evaluate immune activity, inflammation, detox pathways, and genetic drivers that may contribute to autoimmune symptoms, chronic inflammation, fatigue, or poor recovery.

Hair Analysis

A comprehensive hair-based assessment that may provide insights into mineral status and patterns that can be associated with metabolic stress. Often used alongside symptoms and other labs to support a targeted nutrition plan.

Cancer Screening Tests

Galleri® Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) Test
A simple blood test that looks for signals associated with multiple cancers. It’s designed to help detect cancer earlier and may also indicate where in the body the signal is coming from. (Not a diagnostic test—abnormal results require follow-up testing.)

Shield® Colorectal Cancer Test (Ages 45–85)
A non-invasive colorectal cancer screening test (stool-based) that checks for signs of colon cancer. It’s an option for eligible adults who prefer an at-home screening approach. (Positive results require a diagnostic colonoscopy.)
